As a scientific Jack of all trades and master of none, I joined the MORL in 2022, putting to use nearly 2 decades of experience in complementology and basic B-cell immunology. My current work focuses on C3 glomerulopathy (C3G), with an emphasis on understanding how autoantibodies and other acquired or genetic factors drive complement dysregulation and kidney disease.  By integrating adaptive and innate immunity, I aim to define the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying complement-directed autoimmunity. Ultimately, my research seeks to translate these mechanistic insights into improved diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for patients with complement-mediated diseases. I am grateful every day to work with such a talented and dedicated team at the MORL. When not in the lab, I enjoy my hobbies of fermenting just about everything, getting outside, and spending time with my family.
