I am a research assistant on the Renal Research team of the MORL and work closely with Dr. Zhang and the Renal Functional Team. I am currently investigating the functional effects of specific genetic variants in complement factor B with hopes of learning more about if/how variants in factor B contribute to the pathogenesis of complement-mediated renal diseases. In addition to my research, I work with researchers and graduate students to fulfill their animal care and research needs, and direct a team of undergraduates that help provide supplemental animal care.
