As the general laboratory supervisor and safety officer I oversee general lab operations and maintain certifications, monitor and  coordinate lab safety, and administer general trainings for the MORL.  In addition, as a member of the genetic team of the Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDS) of the MORL, a focus of my work is developing, performing, and analyzing our Genetic Renal Panel and OtoSCOPE tests. Within these workflows is our weekly multidisciplinary meetings in which we discuss each patient’s individual case, after the meetings I draft each Genetic Renal Panel result letter. This multidisciplinary approach we have in the MORL allows us to put patients’ genetic and functional results in the context of their clinical diagnosis, current research, and clinical trials.
